Cocktail workshop: the bartender guiding the group across the counter in a stone-walled hall

Cocktail workshop: your guests make the drinks themselves

A professional bartender runs a hands-on session: participants mix, taste and learn to understand cocktails. We come to you, or we host you at our bar in Tallinn. No experience needed.

01Cocktail Workshop

This is not a lecture

The main part of the session happens in the participants’ own hands. The bartender demonstrates the technique, explains the ingredients and helps everyone make the drinks themselves. The theory is short and practical: just enough to understand what you are doing and why.

Two participants shaking cocktails and laughing during the workshop

There are two things to choose. The format: DIY, where everyone mixes at the same time at their own station, or the interactive bar, where guests step behind the counter in turn while the rest of the room carries on talking. And the place: we come to you, or we host you at one of our own bars in Tallinn, where you can stay on afterwards and keep the party going. Choose a format and a place

Works well for

  • team building and corporate programmes
  • birthdays and groups of friends
  • hen and stag parties
  • client and partner events

02Cocktail Workshop

Choose a format and a place

Two session formats and three venues. Either way the programme adapts to the theme of the event, the participants’ level and the group’s taste.

  1. Option 1

DIY bar: everyone mixes at the same time

Each person has their own station with tools and ingredients. The host demonstrates a step, participants repeat it with their own hands and taste the result straight away. The programme builds from simple to more technical: the tools, a first drink, working with a shaker, the balance of sour and sweet, garnish and presentation. This is the session format: everyone is involved at once, and that is where the effect on a team comes from.

  2. Option 2

Interactive bar: guests step behind the counter

The bartender talks briefly about cocktails and technique, then guests come behind the counter one at a time or in pairs and build a drink under their guidance. Everyone else keeps talking, eating and dancing: the evening does not stop. Making your own is optional, you can simply ask the host for a drink and they will make it for you. This is an activity at a party, not a class.

Where we run it

  • at your place: office, venue, home, summer house or a hired room
  • at our bar MyBar, Tartu mnt 35, Tallinn
  • at our bar Secret Bar, Roosikrantsi 3, Tallinn

05How much does it cost

How much a workshop costs

The price is driven mainly by group size, the format, the chosen programme, the venue and any extras. The quote shows these parts separately.

What affects the price:

  1. Group size The number of participants sets the working spots, ingredients, glassware and team.
  2. Format DIY needs a station for everyone; the interactive bar needs one counter and a host. The kit follows from that.
  3. Programme Number of drinks, alcoholic or alcohol-free, a challenge, a theme.
  4. Venue Our bar in Tallinn or a visit to you: city, location, access, work surfaces and water on site.
  5. Extras Carrying the evening on, a bar after the session, a bartender show, a signature cocktail, branding.

The exact price is fixed in your personal quote. The date is secured once the deposit invoice is paid.

09FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the workshop

What is the difference between DIY and the interactive bar?

In DIY everyone mixes at the same time, each at their own station: a full session with the whole group involved at once. At the interactive bar the bartender talks briefly about cocktails and then guests come behind the counter one at a time or in pairs and build a drink under their guidance while the others carry on talking. The first format is closer to learning and team building, the second to an activity at a party.

Which one should we pick?

If the goal is to learn something together with everyone involved at once, take DIY. If the workshop is one of several things happening that evening and the programme has to keep moving, the interactive bar works better. Tell us the goal and the group size and we will suggest one.

Can we come to you?

Yes, we have two bars of our own in Tallinn: MyBar at Tartu mnt 35 and Secret Bar at Roosikrantsi 3. The counter, glassware and ice are already there, and after the session you can stay on and keep the party going with us.

Do you come to us?

Yes, on site is the main format: your office, a venue, your home or a hired room. We need stable work surfaces, access and enough room for the group.

Do we need any experience?

No. The basic programme is designed for someone holding a shaker for the first time. The host demonstrates, the participants repeat with their own hands.

What if someone does not want to make their own?

At the interactive bar that is no problem: you can simply ask the host for a drink and they will make it for you. Nobody is pushed behind the counter.

How long does it take?

As a guide, about one and a half to two hours. The exact length depends on the programme, the format and the group size and is fixed in the quote.

What group size works?

A comfortable group is 4 to 20 people. There is no upper limit: we have run a corporate workshop for 150, with the ingredients prepared in advance, the host working from the stage with a microphone and assistants helping around the room. That is the exception rather than the rule: a large group is usually easier to split into streams at different times, or to serve from several DIY or interactive-bar points.

Can it be entirely alcohol-free?

Yes. Mixing and presentation techniques work beautifully with mocktails. The alcohol-free option is always available in either format: if one person in an otherwise alcoholic group is not drinking, we prepare alcohol-free ingredients specifically for them. Tell us in advance how many such participants there are.

How many cocktails does each person make?

Several drinks over the programme, from simple to more technical. The exact number depends on the chosen programme and is fixed in the quote.

Can we choose our own cocktails?

Yes. We only check that the chosen recipes cover different techniques and fit the pace of the group.

Do we need a kitchen or a sink?

A full kitchen is not needed: the ingredients are prepared in advance. A sink helps with a long programme and a large group, but some formats run without one. At our bar the question does not come up.

Can we run a competition between teams?

Yes. A light challenge works well for team building in the DIY format: teams create a variation of a drink or compete on presentation and taste. There is no need to pick a winner; symbolic nominations keep it friendly.

Can a bar open after the session?

Yes, a very natural combination. At your venue our mobile bar takes over the evening; at our bar you simply stay.

Why might the actual price differ from the reference figure shown?

The reference figure doesn't include possible discounts. A manager may apply an additional discount — for example during the low season, for repeat clients, agencies, or very large orders.
